                                 While doing graduate work in Plant Nutrition:                                

    -         I was exposed to various experiences in teaching, research and extention.

    -         Conducted research in the field, green house and labrotary on several vegetables (Tomato, Muskmelon, Watermelon)

    -         Participated on a lot of work using the nutrient film technique (NFT) for tomato hydroponic culture. This work also includes visits and advice to several hydroponic green houses.

    -         Worked in close association with a group of scientists from produce University Extension Program, and the USDA involved in solving melon blight problem in south-west Indiana.

    -         Participated in visits and advice  to several green house  vegetable growers and melon growers in south-west Indiana.

                                 During the course of study I participated in several                research projects including:  Ethylene biosynthesis    during Avocado fruit set and development, and the       effect of Ethylene inhibitors on Avocado fruit set and          development.

    1979 :  Teaching assistant, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences,   University of Gezira. My responsibilities included field of management practices of vegetable crops in the University Farm.
